*** Θέλω να απλώσω τα χέρια μου και να κουλουριάσω το κεφάλι μου χαμηλά να μη με βλέπει κανείς πόσο βαριέμαι...... Στο γραφείο νόμιζα θα ξεκουράζομαι αλλά πότε θα κοιμάμαι και θα ξυπνάω βλέποντας εφιάλτες με νέα συμβόλαια και κρατήσεις και πότε σέρνομαι ανάμεσα σε facebook , zynga games, tromaktiko και πόσα άλλα να σκοτώσω την ώρα μου .Τουλάχιστον ήξερα στο ξενοδοχείο σταθερά έχει πάντα δουλεία , βρέξει χιονίσει 15 ώρες τη μέρα!!!!Και τώρα βαριέμαι ακόμα και να σηκωθώ να βάλω νερό να πιω.....Ο Γιώργος απέναντι ίσα που κρατά τα μάτια του ανοιχτά, και δεν έχω και τίποτα να του δώσω να ασχοληθεί...Η Ελιάννα δίπλα έχει διαβάσει όλο το online βιβλίο του Twilight , η Ματίνα ακούει συνεχώς Πέγκυ Ζήνα και θέλω να πετάξω το laptop από το παράθυρο με πολύ πολύ αγάπη!!!Η κοπέλα στην υποδοχή με κυνηγά με ένα χαρτάκι (ψηφοδέλτιο) αλλά της κρύβομαι, πόσο αργά θα περάσει η ώρα πια .;;;;Μήπως δεν έπρεπε να φύγω; Άσχετο αλλά το μετάνιωσα νομίζω , ποιος αφήνει το νησί για μια βαρετή Πόλη .;Από την Κηφισιά και την αίθουσα Kung Fu, στην σχολή χορού , clubbing και; Και εγώ πάλι βαριέμαι.....Την κλασική απάντησή την γνωρίζω άντρα θέλω ..!!!! ¨ Έλα ντε που έχω !!!! Σχεδόν γιατί αυτή η σχέση μοιάζει με τα νερά του καταρράκτη Νιαγάρα, άγρια ατίθασα και επικίνδυνα ,αλλά πότε πότε σταθερά..... Και σαν να μην φτάνουν όλα αυτά από τη μια ο Κώστας μου λέει πως θα χρεοκοπήσει η Ελλάδα και από την ο διευθυντής της εταιρίας κάνει post στο FB τραγούδι με τίτλο "απένταρα όνειρα"..... Και τραγουδώ και μετράω ανάποδα ....Ζω σε λάθος καιρό νομίζω .. Μάνα γιατί δεν με έκανες σε μια άλλη εποχή πιο όμορφη και πιο ουσιαστική;" και να αναπολώ εποχές που δεν γνώρισα ποτέ. Να ταξιδεύω όμως με τη φαντασία ακούγοντας τραγούδια από εκείνες τις εποχές που άφησαν το στίγμα τους. Γιατί αυτή είναι η μαγεία της μουσικής, να ταξιδεύεις σε εποχές που δεν πρόλαβε να ζήσεις και να σε κάνει να νοσταλγήσεις όλα αυτά που έχασες, τα ουσιώδη και αληθινά χρόνια...Πρέπει να βρώ που πήγε ο βάτραχος μου να τον φιλήσω και να διακτινιστώ .....

~** Στα λίγα τετραγωνικά εκείνου του σπιτιού θα κατοικούσαν οι κόσμοι τους. Γελώντας ειρωνικά στον παραμικρό ήχο της ανάσας του, θα το μεγάλωναν με τις ζωές τους. Με όλα τα μείνε μα πρέπει να φύγω ναι μα μείνε, με τον χρόνο που κύλησε κι εκείνοι ξεχάστηκαν μικροί με λυτά κορδόνια, με τα κρύα χέρια τους, λες κι έκαναν οικονομία, για το καλό όπως έλεγε και μαμά μου , "κάνε οικονομία Mαράκι μου για το καλό".
Ένα σπίτι στη μέση του μεγάλου τους πουθενά, φτιαγμένο από χαλάσματα άλλων σπιτιών και άλλων ανθρώπων, με ενοίκους φαντάσματα δύο , που έτσι κι αλλιώς έχουν ήδη καταγραφεί στους τσεκαρισμένους, σε εκείνους που δεν κοιμούνται , που γνωρίζουν καλά πόσο ψέματα είναι ότι οι τοίχοι δεν ακούνε, δεν νιώθουν και δεν μένουν μόνοι τους ποτέ....
Στην ταράτσα της απέναντι οικοδομής που μόνο εδώ χωράμε στ'ορκίζομαι, μόνο εδώ, ο αέρας να ανοίγει στα δύο εμένα, ο αέρας να ανοίγει στα δύο το φόρεμα μου κι αυτό να μοιάζει με έλικα, κάπως έτσι θα τo κάνεις μια μέρα το θαύμα, παρέα με τα φοβισμένα μάτια σου και το δυσβάσταχτο βάρος τους, κανείς δεν αναλαμβάνει το κόστος μεταφορά τους, κανείς δεν τα δένει στη σχάρα του και για το πορτ μπαγκάζ ούτε λόγος.είμαι τόσο σίγουρι ότι κατι θα ψάχνεις αλλά απλά περιμένεις σαν θεατής , σαν παιδί την μητέρα του να του φέρει νεράκι, να ξεδιψάσει.Tι κάνουμε; Mα αλήθεια δεν βλέπεις; Πως γίνεται να μην βλέπεις τι κάνουμε; Ότι δεν καταλαβαίνουμε κάνουμε; ξύπνησε με αγάπη μου
Το ξυπνητήρι χτυπάει σαν τρελό, λες και αν δεν το κλείσω θα εκραγεί. Επιτέλους ξυπνάω και το σταματάω. Αν διακρίνω καλά η ώρα είναι 8.00. Όσο πιο γρήγορα μπορώ, σηκώνομαι, ντύνομαι και φεύγω. Φυσικά ούτε λόγος για πρωινό και στρώσιμο του κρεβατιού. Να σηκωθώ ή να συνεχίσω να κοιμάμαι;
Κλείνεις τα μάτια. Εφιάλτες, όνειρα και πραγματικότητα μπλέκονται πια. Αλλοιώνονται και αναμειγνύονται. Τα βλέπω μα δεν τα καταλαβαίνω , πότε θα γίνουν; Τι θα αλλάξει από αυτά που μου είπες παππού; Δεν ξέρεις τι είναι αλλά το παίρνεις. Ότι και να είναι χειρότερα μπορεί να γίνεις? Μπορείς. Πρέπει να μπορείς. Σου το επιβάλεις. Αλλά και πάλι.Ο πόνος που νιώθεις δεν γίνεται να ξεχαστεί με ψευδαισθήσεις. Αφιερώνεσαι , δίνεσαι , αφοσιώνεσαι...ελπίζεις.
Η χαρακτηριστική ιδιότητα του ερωτισμού είναι πως κρύβεται. Κρύβεται ακόμα και τη στιγμή που αποκαλύπτεται. Με σονέτα επιστρέφω, ή μάλλον δεν είχα φύγει ποτέ. Μα που γύριζες και γιατι σου πήρε τόσο χρόνο; Το χθες ανατρέπει και καραδοκεί . Σαν το νερό. Το μόνο σημείο διαφυγής του είναι το χιόνι που θρυμματίζεται. Το πιο ακριβό που μπορείς να μου κλέψεις είναι το συναίσθημα. Την γεύση όμως της ενοχής που μπορείς να την κρύψεις; Σε ποιο σκοτεινό συρτάρι να καταχωνιάσεις την αυτοκριτική και να καταπιείς το κλειδί του;

Γιατί να κάτσεις να ασχοληθείς με ανούσια πράγματα, ενώ τόσο εύκολα μπορείς να μεγαλουργήσεις αν αφεθείς παρά μονάχα στη ζωή. Να την αφήσεις να σε οδηγήσει όπου τύχει. Χωρίς προγράμματα, εκτός από το πρόγραμμα του φαγητού άσε με να το κανω..... Γι' αυτό αναρωτιέμαι. Αξίζει τελικά να έχω μια συγκεκριμένη πορεία ζωής, συγκεκριμένους στόχους και όνειρα ή μήπως αν ελευθερώσω τους ορίζοντές μου καταφέρω τελικά να ζήσω όπως ταιριάζει σε μένα και όχι όπως ταιριάζει σ' αυτούς που με περιβάλλουν.
Μήπως τελικά είχες δίκιο;

** Η απόδραση είναι επιλογή;
Τι έχουμε αναγκη πιο πολύ τη ηρεμία και τη γαλήνη ή την ένονη ζωή; Γιατί τη μια μπορεί να θέλω το ένα και μετά το άλλο; Εγώ είμαι αναποφάσιστη ή χρειάζονται και τα δυο τελικά για να είναι κάποιος γεμάτος, αλλα αυτό είναι που μας ολοκληρώνει τελικά;
Είμαι σ'ενα καφέ , χαζεύωντας τις φυσαλλίδες από το φλυτζάνι του cappuccino μου και τις στριφογυρνώ σαν το ελαφρύ κύμα της ήρεμης κατα τ'άλλα θάλασσας απέναντι μου.
Τέσσερις μέρες χαλάρωσης μέσα στην αγκαλία του Άλκη, που να πάω μετά απο εδώ και γιατι, ή μάλλον σε τι να γυρίσω.;... στην πόλη με τις πολυκατοικίες.
Τα μπαρόκ έπιπλα του καφέ, το ξύλινο ταβάνι και ο ήχος από τα τριζόνια καθώς το καλοκαίρι δειλά δειλά ξεκινά με κάνουν να διστάζω και να φοβάμαι την επιστροφή και θέλω να μείνω εδώ με τις μυρωδιές της Κρητικής γης να περιπλανιώνται, βγάζωντας φωτογραφίες και φυλακίζοντας τις αναμνήσεις μου....
Ψιλαφίζω την τσέπη παίζοντας με τις πετρούλες που μάζεψα στην παραλία, έχουν χώματα έντονα και γυαλιστερά φαντάζουν τώρα σαν τις συνοικίες των παιδικών μου αναμνήσεων.
Σήμερα είναι Κυριακή. Μέρα ξεκούρασης,μέρα χαλάρωσης....μοναδική απόλαυση ο αέρας μοιράζει το ιώδιο της θάλασσας να μας ξυπνήσει να αρχίσει η μέρα μας.
Άλλωστε, πώς είναι δυνατόν να αφοσιωθείς σε οτιδήποτε άλλο, όταν το υπέροχο άκουσμα της κάθε σταγόνας της θάλασσας που πλημμυρίζει το σύμπαν. Όταν η φύση ξεδιπλώνεται μπροστά στα μάτια σου και σε καλεί να τη νιώσεις.
Για όλους τους υπόλοιπους είναι απλά μια ανοιξιάτικη μέρα, μια συνηθισμένη μέρα ίσως με λίγο περισσότερο χρώμα. Για έμενα όμως είναι η μέρα που μου ξανάδωσε ζωή.
Γεμίζω μπαταρίες και ενέργεια για να γυρίσω αύριο με το αεροπλάνο και να σαρώσω ...
Ο στόχος μου είναι ξεκάθαρος μέχρι το τέλος της σεζόν πρέπει να πάρω αύξηση και προαγωγή.
Δεν θέλω τη ζωή που στερήθηκα , θέλω τη ζωή που μου αξίζει!!

Θα ήθελα να ευχαριστήσω τον πρόεδρο και όλους εκείνους που ευαισθητοποιήθηκαν για το δράμα που ζώ και ειδικά τον ΣΥΓΑΠΑ ΚΡΗΤΗΣ και το blog ARFARA MESSINIAS για την αναδημοσίευση των e-mail μου.
Πιστεύω ότι όλοι οι πατεράδες πρέπει κάποια στιγμή να αποβάλουμε τον δισταγμό και την αναποφασιστικότητα του να δημοσιοποιήσουμε την αδικία και το έγκλημα που συντελείται εις βάρος μας, εις βάρος των παιδιών μας και τελικά και εις βάρος των μανάδων των παιδιών μας. Αυτό εκμεταλλεύονται οι εγκληματίες.
Όσο υπάρχει σιωπή μεγαλώνει το έγκλημα.

Η αστικοποίηση της φτώχιας

Φύγαμε από το χωριό πριν από τρία χρόνια. Εμείς και πολλοί άλλοι. Μαζέψαμε τα υπάρχοντά μας (όλα κι όλα ένα καρότσι πράγματα), το κουράγιο μας και ξεκινήσαμε. Ένα ποτάμι ανθρώπων και ελπίδας μετακινείται κάθε χρόνο προς τη Dhaka. Ένα ποτάμι λάσπης, απόγνωσης και καταστροφής καλύπτει κάθε χρόνο της περιουσίες μας. Δεν είναι μόνο το όνειρο για μία καλύτερη ζωή που μας σπρώχνει προς την πόλη. Είναι και η ανάγκη για επιβίωση, ο καταναγκασμός που επιβάλει η απόγνωση, η ωμή πραγματικότητα που αναδύεται με κάθε ξέσπασμα του Βραχμαπούτρα. Ναι, ελπίδες υπάρχουν· ευκαιρίες μπορεί και να σου χτυπήσουν την πόρτα. Ποιο είναι το τίμημα όμως; Τι δίνεις και τι σου δίνεται; Και το κυριότερο… σε ποιο κατώφλι να περιμένεις την ευκαιρία;
Δε μας αρέσει εδώ. Το ξέραμε ότι δε θα μας άρεσε. Η μυρωδιά από τα καμμένα σκουπίδια, το πλαστικό και ο μαύρος καπνός που καλύπτει τα πάντα. Η φωτιά, για να ετοιμάσω το μοναδικό γεύμα της ημέρας –όταν υπάρχει κάτι που να μπορείς να μαγειρέψεις– καίει με ότι μαζέψουμε από τις χωματερές της πόλης. Έτσι είναι τα πράγματα στις παραγκουπόλεις. Η ζωή εδώ, είναι χειρότερη από την εξαθλίωση. Άνθρωποι στοιβαγμένοι ανάμεσα σε παραπήγματα, βρωμιά και αρρώστιες, άλλοι σε αναζήτηση τροφής, άλλοι σε αναζήτηση δουλειάς, άλλοι σε αναζήτηση εξόδου. Πόσιμο νερό; Ούτε για αστείο. Η έλλειψή του είναι ακόμα μεγαλύτερη από την έλλειψη ελπίδας.
Το κακό είναι ότι συνηθίζεις. Μετά από κάποια χρόνια γίνεται αυτονόητο. Θέλουμε να επιστρέψουμε, αλλά πως; Και που; Πίσω μας έχουμε αφήσει μόνο συγγενείς. Και εδώ, δεν ξέρω πως, αλλά πάντα ελπίζουμε σε εκείνη τη δουλειά που θα μας αφήνει μερικά δολάρια στο τέλος της εβδομάδας. Έτσι, για να συντηρείται η ελπίδα μας ότι κάποτε θα ξαναποκτήσουμε το δικό μας κομμάτι γης.
Έτσι είναι η Dhaka. Η δικιά μας Dhaka. Η δύση κλείνει τα μάτια στους αποκάτω και το ξέφρενο κυνήγι του κεφαλαίου κλείνει το μάτι στις «χρυσές» ευκαιρίες που εμφανίζονται. Έτσι είναι, όταν η ανέχεια γίνεται τόπος· η φτώχεια σε τρεις διαστάσεις…

Michael Najjar και οι “Netropolis”

Αρχικά, μας θύμισε τον “ανοιχτό” φακό του Michael Wesely. Τελικά, όμως, η δουλειά του Michael Najjar είναι αποτέλεσμα εκτυπώσεων σε πολλαπλά επίπεδα. Εμπνευσμένος από την ταινία Metropolis του Fritz Lang, ο Najjar “είδε” την πόλη του μέλλοντος ως το αστικό περιβάλλον όπου λαμβάνει χώρα η ροή πληροφοριών, δικτύων και δεδομένων. Η εικαστική αποτύπωση της παγκόσμιας πόλης της Saskia Sassen –θα προσθέταμε εμείς. Στο έργο του Netropolis (2003-2006), αποτυπώνει πανοραμικά, την αστική πραγματικότητα 12 μεγάλων πόλεων: Βερολίνο, Πεκίνο, Ντουμπάι, Χονγκ Κονγκ, Λονδίνο, Λος Αντζελες, πόλη του Μεξικού, Νέα Υόρκη, Παρίσι, Σάο Πάολο, Σανγκάη και Τόκυο· πανοραμικές λήψεις, τραβηγμένες με συμβατική μηχανή, προς τα τέσσερα σημεία του ορίζοντα. Το υλικό που προκύπτει από το φιλμ, μετατρέπεται σε ψηφιακό και στη συνέχεια οι τέσσερις φωτογραφίες σε μία, με τη βοήθεια του υπολογιστή.
“Η πανοραμική οπτική μεταμορφώνει την πραγματικότητα της αστικής, χωρικής δομής σε τοπίο. Η ψηφιακή επεξεργασία αυτής της πανοραμικής οπτικής μεταμορφώνει με τη σειρά της το τοπίο σε ύφανση”.

Από τις 4 Ιανουαρίου 2011, δεν θα μπορείτε να κάνετε αλλαγές στο ιστολόγιό σας στο Spaces, αλλά θα μπορείτε να συνεχίσετε να αναθεωρείτε παλαιότερες καταχωρήσεις, να πραγματοποιείτε λήψη και αποθήκευση του περιεχομένου σας για αργότερα και να αναβαθμίσετε το ιστολόγιό σας στο WordPress.com. Στις 16 Μαρτίου 2011, το Windows Live Spaces θα κλείσει και δεν θα μπορείτε να αποκτήσετε πρόσβαση στο ιστολόγιό σας στο Spaces ή να το μετεγκαταστήσετε.
Τι πρέπει να κάνετε προτού κλείσει το Windows Live Spaces Από το τέλος του Σεπτεμβρίου, όταν επισκέπτεστε το χώρο σας, θα έχετε τις ακόλουθες επιλογές:

~** Επίθεση Παπαρήγα στην κυβέρνηση για την ενέργεια
Η ΓΓ της ΚΕ του ΚΚΕ Α. Παπαρήγα χαρακτήρισε «Κλιμάκωση της αντιλαϊκής πολιτικής» την κυβερνητική πολιτική, στον τομέα της ενέργειας, ενώ παράλληλα εξαπέλυσε επίθεση στην κυβέρνηση και για την πολιτική της στο Αιγαίο.
«Κλιμάκωση της αντιλαϊκής πολιτικής», χαρακτήρισε η ΓΓ της ΚΕ του ΚΚΕ Α. Παπαρήγα την κυβερνητική πολιτική, στον τομέα της ενέργειας, ενώ παράλληλα εξαπέλυσε επίθεση στην κυβέρνηση και για την πολιτική της στο Αιγαίο κατηγορώντας την, για τον μη ορισμό Αποκλειστικών Οικονομικών Ζωνών(ΑΟΖ) και για συνδιαχείριση με την Τουρκία, προβλέποντας ιδιαίτερα αρνητικές εξελίξεις για τα συμφέροντα της χώρας.Η κα Παπαρήγα, επικαλέστηκε και εκτενή ανακοίνωση του Πολιτικού Γραφείου του ΚΚΕ, με το οποίο αναλύεται και ουσιαστικά καταγγέλλεται η ενεργειακή πολιτική της κυβέρνησης, τονίζοντας ότι οι κατευθύνσεις και τα μέτρα που δρομολογεί είναι προς όφελος της υψηλής κερδοφορίας ελάχιστων μονοπωλιακών ομίλων και θα έχουν πολλαπλές αρνητικές συνέπειες για τον λαό .Αναλύοντας περαιτέρω τις αρνητικές συνέπειες της κυβερνητικής πολιτικής η κα Παπαρήγα αναφέρθηκε στον «σχεδιαζόμενο διαχωρισμό των δικτύων μεταφοράς και διανομής από τον κύριο κορμό της ΔΕΗ, την κλιμακούμενη αύξηση των τιμολογίων οικιακής και αγροτικής χρήσης, την παράδοση των λιγνιτικών αποθεμάτων, ιδιαίτερα της Βεύης και της Δράμας σε ιδιωτικούς ομίλους και η προβλεπόμενη μείωση της λιγνιτικής παραγωγής της ΔΕΗ στο λιγνιτικό κέντρο Δυτικής Μακεδονίας».Η κα Παπαρήγα κατηγόρησε τις ηγεσίες της ΓΣΕΕ και της ΓΕΝΟΠ -ΔΕΗ τονίζοντας ότι «με τη στήριξη του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ προσπαθεί να εξαπατήσει τους εργαζόμενους προβάλλοντας σαν φιλολαϊκή λύση ορισμένα εναλλακτικά μέτρα προώθησης της «απελευθέρωσης», που πρόκειται για ψευδεπίγραφη, αποπροσανατολιστική μάχη οπισθοφυλακών, που διευκολύνει την προώθηση των κατευθύνσεων της ΕΕ και των συμφερόντων της άρχουσας τάξης».Αναφερόμενη στην έντονη δημόσια συζήτηση για την επιμήκυνση του χρόνου αποπληρωμής των δανείων που παίρνει η χώρα, η κα Παπαρήγα είπε ότι μετά το «όλοι μαζί τα φάγαμε» ήρθε τώρα η αναδιάρθρωση του χρέους επισημαίνοντας ότι «όταν η συνείδηση του λαού κάνει ένα βήμα μπροστά, προσπαθούν να τον οδηγήσουν δύο βήματα πίσω», αφήνοντας να εννοηθεί ότι όλη αυτή η συζήτηση είναι αποπροσανατολιστική. Η διαπραγμάτευση θα γίνει, πρόσθεσε η Γραμματέας του ΚΚΕ, αλλά θα γίνει με κανόνες που θα επιβάλλει η Τρόικα και θα συνοδεύεται από νέα σκληρά μέτρα κατά των εργαζομένων.Για Αιγαίο -Τουρκία η κα Παπαρήγα έκανε εκτενή αναφορά στην ενεργειακή στρατηγική της κυβέρνησης, υπό το πρίσμα των ελληνοτουρκικών σχέσεων, κάνοντας λόγο για συνειδητή στρατηγική επιλογή της κυβέρνησης στα ενεργειακά, που οδηγεί στην συνδιαχείριση στο Αιγαίο και έκανε λόγο για εκχώρηση κυριαρχικών δικαιωμάτων. Η Γραμματέας του ΚΚΕ, αλλά και το Πολιτικό Γραφείο του κόμματος υπογραμμίζουν ότι «όλο το προηγούμενο διάστημα καλλιεργήθηκε με ευθύνη των κυβερνήσεων του ΠΑΣΟΚ και της ΝΔ κλίμα παραίτησης από την κατοχύρωση των κυριαρχικών δικαιωμάτων στο Αιγαίο με βασικούς σταθμούς τη συμφωνία της Μαδρίτης και τη σύσταση του Ανωτάτου Συμβουλίου Συνεργασίας Ελλάδας -Τουρκίας».Όπως τόνισε η κ. Παπαρήγα η αμφισβήτηση από την Τουρκία του δικαιώματος της Ελλάδας να εφαρμόσει το διεθνές δίκαιο της θάλασσας, σχετικά με την υφαλοκρηπίδα των νησιών, αφορά και το δικαίωμα για την εξόρυξη των φυσικών τους πόρων, των πιθανών, πλούσιων κοιτασμάτων. Αντίθετα, είπε η κ. Παπαρήγα, η κυβέρνηση ενώ δεν κάνει βήματα κατοχύρωσης της υφαλοκρηπίδας και της ΑΟΖ, με τις γειτονικές χώρες, συμμετέχει ενεργά και δίνει προτεραιότητα στην προώθηση σχεδίων μεταφοράς ενέργειας που προτάσσουν οι ΗΠΑ και το Ισραήλ στην περιοχή, ενώ το ίδιο ισχύει και για το Ιόνιο , όπου όπως παρατήρησε, η Τουρκία αυξάνει την παρουσία της με την στήριξη του ΝΑΤΟ.Το ΚΚΕ, πέρα από την διατήρηση του δημόσιου χαρακτήρα της ΔΕΗ, τόνισε την ανάγκη να αξιοποιηθούν οι εγχώριες πηγές ενέργειας και να λειτουργήσει αποκλειστικά ενιαίος κρατικός φορέας που θα υπηρετεί το σύνολο των λαϊκών αναγκών. Επίσης, πρότεινε την συστηματική έρευνα για εξεύρεση νέων πηγών στο Ιόνιο και το Αιγαίο, ενώ υπογράμμισε την ανάγκη να εξασφαλιστεί επαρκής και φτηνή λαϊκή κατανάλωση με μείωση των τιμολογίων κατά 30%, να εξασφαλιστούν οι θέσεις εργασίας και παράλληλα να μειωθεί η ενεργειακή εξάρτηση της χώρας η οποία, εξαιτίας της κυβερνητικής πολιτικής αυξάνεται.-

~** "Σήμερα, το 77% του παγκόσμιου πληθυσμού ζει με το 25% του παγκόσμιου πλούτου.Στις ΗΠΑ ο αριθμός των πεινασμένων έφτασε από τα 20 εκατομμύρια ανθρώπους που ήταν το 1985, στα 30 εκατομμύρια το 1995. Μέσα στο ίδιο αυτό διάστημα που μεσουράνησαν και μεσουρανούν οι Ρίγκαν και Κλίντον...
Σήμερα, το 77% του παγκόσμιου πληθυσμού ζει με το 25% του παγκόσμιου πλούτου, ενώ μια χούφτα, που δεν ξεπερνά το 23% του παγκόσμιου πληθυσμού, καρπώνεται το 75% του παγκόσμιου πλούτου... 300 Κροίσοι, σύμφωνα με τα στοιχεία του ΟΗΕ, κατέχουν το 50% του παγκόσμιου πλούτου!!!Δύο εκθέσεις ισάριθμων διεθνών οργανισμών, του ΟΗΕ για την ανθρώπινη ανάπτυξη, και της UNISEF για την πρόοδο των εθνών το 1999, που δόθηκαν στη δημοσιότητα με διαφορά λίγων ημερών μέσα στον Ιούλη, διαπιστώνουν με αριθμούς αυτό που βιώνει καθημερινά η συντριπτική πλειοψηφία των ανθρώπων του πλανήτη: Τη φτώχεια, την εξαθλίωση και την εκμετάλλευση, που αυξάνονται με αλματώδεις ρυθμούς χρόνο με το χρόνο. Βέβαια, και οι δύο οργανισμοί δεν τολμούν στα συμπεράσματά τους να απαντήσουν στο εύλογο ερώτημα:
Γιατί συμβαίνουν όλα αυτά; Αντίθετα, περιπλέκουν τα πράγματα κρυμμένοι πίσω από λέξεις, όπως παγκοσμιοποίηση και περιθωριοποίηση, με αποτέλεσμα και οι προτάσεις τους για την επίλυση αυτής της κατάστασης να αποδίδονται με... σαφέστατες δηλώσεις του τύπου επαναδιαμόρφωση των πολιτικών και θεσμικών δομών.
Αυτό συμβαίνει, όχι γιατί οι συντάκτες των εκθέσεων δεν γνωρίζουν την αιτία αυτής της κατάστασης, αλλά ακριβώς επειδή πληρώνονται για να την προστατεύσουν από την έκθεσή της στα μάτια των εργαζομένων, να τους αποπροσανατολίσουν, προβάλλοντας υποκριτικά λύσεις, στα πλαίσια του συστήματος που αναπαράγουν τη συγκεκριμένη πραγματικότητα σε μεγαλύτερες διαστάσεις, χωρίς καν να θίγουν την ουσία και το χαρακτήρα της.
Αρέσει στους εκσυγχρονιστές αυτού του πλανήτη να παίζουν με τους αριθμούς και με τα νεύρα των ανθρώπων!
Το κάνουν, όμως, όχι για να μας στείλουν στον ψυχολόγο μας αλλά για να καταφέρουν να κρύψουν τη δυστυχία των εργαζομένων πίσω από την ευημερία των αριθμών.
Τον Οκτώβρη του 1997, με αφορμή την Παγκόσμια Μέρα για την Εξάλειψη της Φτώχειας, η UNISEF άφησε τους πάντες άφωνους με τα στοιχεία που δημοσιοποίησε.Σύμφωνα, λοιπόν, με τα στοιχεία (Ριζοσπάστης - 15/10/΄97): * Περίπου 1,3 δισεκατομμύρια άνθρωποι σε όλο τον κόσμο πλήττονται από την φτώχεια, ενώ εξ αυτών τα 650.000.000 είναι παιδιά! * Στις αναπτυσσόμενες χώρες το 1/3 των παιδιών κάτω των 5 ετών, δηλαδή 200.000.000 παιδιά, υποφέρουν από υποσιτισμό. Αποτέλεσμα: Ο υποσιτισμός είναι η αιτία που οδηγεί στο θάνατο 12.000.000 παιδιά ετησίως!
* Περίπου 250.000.000 παιδιά σε όλο τον κόσμο υποφέρουν από έλλειψη βιταμίνης Α με αποτέλεσμα, ετησίως, περίπου 250.000 παιδιά να τυφλώνονται.* Ενας αριθμός που ξεπερνά τα 5.700.000 ανθρώπους έχουν γεννηθεί με κρετινισμό, επειδή οι μητέρες τους, έπασχαν από έλλειψη ιωδίου κατά τη διάρκεια της εγκυμοσύνης.
Στην πρόσφατη, δε, συνέλευση του Παγκόσμιου Οργανισμού Εργασίας, στη Γενεύη, δόθηκε το ακόλουθο στοιχείο: Περισσότερο από 250.000.000 είναι τα παιδιά ηλικίας 5 έως 14 ετών (!) που εργάζονται σήμερα στις αναπτυσσόμενες χώρες του πλανήτη, ενώ από αυτά τα 60.000.000 εργάζονται κάτω από απάνθρωπες συνθήκες.
Με αφορμή την Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Επισιτισμού, η UNISEF έδωσε στη δημοσιότητα στοιχεία που σοκάρουν. Τα στοιχεία αυτά πιστοποιούν ότι στον κόσμο της περίφημης παγκοσμιοποίησης, ΄κάθε (1) λεπτό της ώρας πεθαίνουν από την πείνα 12 νήπια... Σύμφωνα λοιπόν με τη UNISEF και την Παγκόσμια Οργάνωση Υγείας, η αντιμετώπιση των βασικών διατροφικών αναγκών, ισοδυναμεί με την κατ΄ ελάχιστον κατανάλωση 2.200 θερμίδων ημερησίως από τον άνθρωπο.
Για εκατοντάδες εκατομμύρια ανθρώπους στον κόσμο κάτι τέτοιο μοιάζει με άπιαστο όνειρο. Και αυτό γιατί στις χώρες πέραν εκείνων που είναι ανεπτυγμένες βιομηχανικά, δηλαδή σε εκείνες τις χώρες που ζουν πάνω από 500 εκατομμύρια άνθρωποι, μετά βίας καταφέρνουν οι πληθυσμοί να τρέφονται με μόλις 2.000 θερμίδες ημερησίως. Μερικά νούμερα είναι συγκλονιστικά:* Στο Ιράκ, από τα 650.000 παιδιά που εξέτασαν τον περασμένο Αύγουστο οι υπηρεσίες της UNISEF τα 250.000 παιδιά ήταν υποσιτισμένα. Στην ίδια χώρα, το εμπάργκο που έχουν επιβάλει οι ιμπεριαλιστές, οδηγεί στο θάνατο 7.000 ανθρώπους κάθε μήνα (!). * Στη Ρουάντα υπολογίζεται ότι από τα 394.000 παιδιά που γεννήθηκαν μέσα στο 1997, τα 73.000 θα πεθάνουν από την πείνα πριν γίνουν 5 χρόνων.* Στο Σουδάν η παιδική θνησιμότητα είναι 13 φορές μεγαλύτερη από το διεθνή μέσο όρο.Ενας πλανήτης δέσμιος των καπιταλιστών.

* * * Η έκθεση των Γιατρών Χωρίς Σύνορα που δημοσιεύθηκε στον Τύπο την 1η Οκτώβρη 1998 και η οποία αφορά μια μόνο χώρα, το Σουδάν, περιέχει στοιχεία που κόβουν την ανάσα: στο νότιο τμήμα της χώρας - λένε - αναφέρονται καθημερινά 120 θάνατοι εξαιτίας της πείνας. Ο καθημερινός δείκτης θνησιμότητας είναι δέκα φορές μεγαλύτερος από το όριο εκείνο, που, σύμφωνα με τα διεθνή στάνταρ, κρούει τον κώδωνα του κινδύνου. Ας σημειωθεί ότι σύμφωνα με τα διεθνή επίπεδα ανθρωπιστικής βοήθειας, επείγουσα κατάσταση συνίσταται όταν σημειώνονται 2 θάνατοι ανά 10.000 κατοίκους. Ομως στην πόλη Μαπέλ του Σουδάν, ο καθημερινός δείκτης θνησιμότητας ήταν το περσινό καλοκαίρι 16 θάνατοι ανά 10.000 κατοίκους, ενώ οι εκτιμήσεις για το σύνολο της χώρας προέβλεπαν ότι θα εξακολουθούσαν να πεθαίνουν 4 - 12 άνθρωποι ανά 10.000 Σουδανούς... Στην ίδια επίσης έκθεση σημειωνόταν ότι πολλά από τα παιδιά ζυγίζουν λιγότερο από το 60% του βάρους που αντιστοιχεί στο ύψος τους. Το 34% των παιδιών κάτω των 5 ετών είναι υποσιτισμένα, ενώ το ένα παιδάκι από τα 5 αποτελεί οξύ περιστατικό υποσιτισμού. Υπολογιζόταν, δε, ότι ο εν κινδύνω πληθυσμός της χώρας που έχει ανάγκη ανθρωπιστικής βοήθειας ξεπερνά τα 2,6 εκατομμύρια (Ελευθεροτυπία - 1/10/΄98).
Πάντως, σε αυτή τη χώρα, μπορεί να μη φτάνει βοήθεια, αλλά φτάνουν οι βόμβες του ιμπεριαλισμού! Αυτή τη χώρα, το Σουδάν, βρήκε να βομβαρδίσει ο Κλίντον, απροειδοποίητα και στο όνομα της... καταπολέμησης της τρομοκρατίας, πέρσι το καλοκαίρι... Η έρευνα της Διεθνούς Οργάνωσης Καταναλωτών που δόθηκε στη δημοσιότητα το Μάρτη του 1998 δεν αφήνει περιθώρια εφησυχασμού. Χαρακτηριστική είναι η ακόλουθη παράγραφος της έκθεσης που συντάχθηκε από την οργάνωση: Κάτω από συνθήκες φτώχειας ζουν 1,3 δισεκατομμύρια άνθρωποι σε ολόκληρο τον κόσμο. Γι΄ αυτούς το να πιουν ένα ποτήρι νερό που δεν είναι μολυσμένο, να φάνε περισσότερο από ένα γεύμα την ημέρα, να χρησιμοποιήσουν το λεωφορείο για να διανύσουν μια μικρή απόσταση στην πόλη τους και να έχουν στη διάθεσή τους βασικά αγαθά και υπηρεσίες αποτελούν περισσότερο πολυτέλεια παρά κάτι συνηθισμένο και κοινό! (Ριζοσπάστης - 13/3/΄98).
Τι σημαίνουν όλα αυτά σε αριθμούς; Οτι κάθε μέρα πεθαίνουν από την πείνα σε όλον τον κόσμο 36.000 παιδιά, δηλαδή κάθε μια ώρα πεθαίνουν από την πείνα σε όλον τον τόσμο 1.480 παιδιά, δηλαδή κάθε λεπτό που περνάει, στον πλανήτη πεθαίνουν 25 παιδιά, από την πείνα... Κάθε σχόλιο περιττεύει!
Τι συμβαίνει, όμως, στις ΗΠΑ και την Ευρώπη; , Η ανατροπή αυτής της κατάστασης είναι μονόδρομος ελπίδας για την ανθρωπότητα και περνά μόνο μέσα από την παγκόσμια ανατροπή του καπιταλισμού. Οι 300 Κροίσοι και οι πολυεθνικές Βέβαια, αυτή η μικρή χούφτα έχει και... ονοματεπώνυμο. Πρόκειται για την ακόμα μικρότερη χούφτα εκείνων των ανά τον κόσμο 300 Κροίσων (πρόκειται για τις πολυεθνικές και τα αφεντικά τους), που, σύμφωνα με τα στοιχεία του ΟΗΕ, αυτοί από μόνοι τους κατέχουν το 45-50% του παγκόσμιου πλούτου!!! (Ριζοσπάστης - 19/9/΄96).
Οπως, μάλιστα, τονιζόταν σε σχετική μελέτη της Herald Tribune, στο διάστημα 1990 - 1995 οι 200 ισχυρότερες πολυεθνικές του πλανήτη αύξησαν τα κέρδη τους κατά 75%. Ενώ, δε, οι δραστηριότητες των εν λόγω εταιριών ξεπερνούσαν τότε το 25% της παγκόσμιας οικονομικής δραστηριότητας, το ποσοστό του παγκόσμιου εργατικού δυναμικού που απασχολούσαν ήταν μόλις το 0,75% και, σύμφωνα με την έκθεση, θα έβαινε συνεχώς συρρικνούμενο για τα επόμενα χρόνια... (Εθνος - 27/11/΄96).
Οπως αναφέρει ο Νόαμ Τσόμσκι στο τελευταίο του βιβλίο, το χάσμα ανάμεσα στο πλούσιο 20% και το φτωχό 20% του πλανήτη, αυξήθηκε από το 1960 έως το 1989 κατά 50%! Αν, δε, αφήσουμε τα πράγματα στη νεοφιλελεύθερη παγκόσμια αγορά, τότε, λέει ο Τσόμσκι, κάθε δυο ώρες 1.000 παιδιά θα πεθαίνουν από ασθένειες, που μπορούν εύκολα να προληφθούν και σχεδόν διπλάσιος αριθμός γυναικών (δηλαδή 2.000 γυναίκες ανά δυο ώρες) θα πεθαίνουν ή θα υφίστανται σοβαρές διαταραχές κατά την εγκυμοσύνη ή τη γέννα, λόγω έλλειψης φαρμάκων ή περίθαλψης.
Σύμφωνα, με τον Εκόνομιστ, το 1998, το ποσοστό των φυλακισμένων μαύρων ήταν 8 φορές μεγαλύτερο από αυτό των λευκών, ενώ υπολογίζεται ότι 1 στους 12 μαύρους πολίτες, μεταξύ 25 - 29 ετών, βρίσκεται στη φυλακή... Οσο για τον Μπλερ, τον Απρίλη του 1998, υπηρετώντας πιστά την κοινωνία της ελεύθερης αγοράς, πρόσθεσε κι αυτός ένα πετραδάκι στο εποικοδόμημα αυτής της άθλιας κοινωνίας. Εγκαινίασε μια φυλακή για παιδιά από 12 - 14 ετών! (Βήμα - 19/4/΄98)......
Θα εξαλειφθούν όλα αυτά τα φαινόμενα! ;;;;;;;;;;

~**Όλη την εβδομάδα περιμένουμε το Σαββατοκύριακο και έρχεται ...επιτέλους....είναι χειμώνας και κάθε χειμώνα περιμένουμε την άνοιξη να μεγαλώσει λιγάκι η μέρα σαν τώρα, να πετάξουμε τα μπουφάν και μετά το καλοκαίρι να αρχίσουμε τις τρέλες ,τα μπάνια,διακοπές και μετά περιμένουμε το φθινόπωρο να έρθει να πέσει επιτέλους η θερμοκρασία και να αναπνεύσουμε. Και μετά....; Γιατί περιμένουμε κάτι να έρθεί και μέχρι να έρθει εμείς τι κάνουμε; Τι αγωνία κι'αυτή;!
Τι είναι αυτό που περιμένουμε τελικά ;
Είναι ήδη 1:41 το βράδυ , κρυμμένη στα σκοτείνα να γραφώ τι περιμένω να ρθεί....
Το ρολοϊ στο τοίχο χτυπά ρυθμικά ,τόσα πολύτιμα λεπτά, περνούν...
Σήμερα μετά από μια τέτοια εβδομάδα και ακόμα πιο δύσκολη αυτή που με περιμένει φόρεσα ένα μπλουζάκι του Άλκη ροζ που αναγράφει επάνω Carpe Diem και βούλιαξα στο κρεββάτι και στον υπολογιστή.Δεν βγήκα ούτε για τσιγάρα....ξέχασα τα όποια προβλήματα και βυθίστηκα στη Γαλήνη της τεμπελιάς, απολαμβάνοντας την ανοιξιάτικη αύρα που έμπαινε κρυφά από το μισάνοιχτο παράθυρο.
Οι μέρες , τα λεπτά, οι μήνες , οι εποχές θέλουν λίγο περισσότερο χρώμα , για να γεμίσουμε ζωή!!!και όχι με επισκέψεις τον ψυχοθεραπευτή μας , αυτή η μόδα πρέπει να σταματήσει.
Η ζωή είναι σαν λαβύρινθος, αλλά πρέπει να μας νοιάζει να εντοπίσουμε την αρχή όχι το τέλος και να πηγαίνουμε φυτεύοντας λουλούδια να ομορφύνει και γεμίσει χρώμα .
Μου τα είπε η Έλένη, μα δεν την άκουγα , πως πρέπει να μιλησω με τον ευατό μου για να λυτρωθώ. Πόσο δίκιο είχε!
Ο Άλκης μου λέι πως δεν του αφιερώνω ουσιαστικό χρόνο...όταν ο ίδιος είναι όλη μου η ζωή .
Άλλά δίκιο έχει και αυτός ..μου λείπει τόσο πολύ...φοβάμαι τη μοναξιά και θέλω συνέχως κάτι να κάνω αλλά αυτό δεν το ξέρει. Έρχεται τέλος του μήνα πίσω , να μείνουμε μαζί. Θα τα καταφέρουμε;
Ο Άλκης έχει μια απίστευτη ικανότητα να μετατρέπει κάθε μας στιγμή σε μια γλυκιά ανάμνηση.
Με κάνει ευτυχισμένη!
Αντιστέκομαι στη νύστα μου περίτεχνα...Πώς μπορείς να αντλήσεις όλη τη δύναμη της θέλησής σου για να αποκτήσεις αυτό που ποθείς; Το σύμπαν συνομοτεί για μένα όταν πραγματικά το θέλω.Μπορείς να υποστείς τις συνέπειες των αποφάσεών σου και να ανεχθείς τις απαιτούμενες θυσίες; Και αν ναι, για πόσον καιρό;Ακούω την Αλεξάνδρα να μου μιλά για την αρετή της υπομονής και ησυχάζω...
Άλλα ξεκίνησα να γράφω και τελικά αλλού κατέληξα.Whatever!

Αύριο είναι Κυριακή , μέρα για βόλτες αρκετά ξεκουράστηκα. Σήμερα έστειλα 200 mail με το ββιογραφικό της αδελφής μου .Μακάρι να με ακούσει το σύμπαν να της βρω μια καλή δουλεία να έρθει κοντά μου.!!

Μια Κυριακή λίγο πιο πέρα ...λίγο ποιο ζεστά!
Ξεκινήσαμε με το Jeep εγώ , η Ηλιάννα και η Κατερίνα να πάρουμε τη Ματίνα με τη μικρή και να πάμε για βολτίτσα στη Γλυφάδα και καταλήξαμε να πηγαίνουμε στη Χαλκίδα .....
Λένε οι σκέψεις μας δημιουργούν την πραγματικότητα μας,και για να είμαι ειλικρινής ,είχα έντονες τάσεις φυγής και αυτή η τελευταίας στιγμής απόφαση για Χαλκίδα day,μου φάνηκε μια περιέργως καλή ιδέα!
Κάθε αποτέλεσμα που βλέπουμε στον εξωτερικό ή φυσικό κόσμο, έχει μια πολύ συγκεκριμένη αιτία και στην προκειμένη περίπτωση πήραμε φόρα για να γεμίσουμε μπαταρίες και μια όμορφη μέρα ξεκινά.....
Τραγουδώντας και χορεύοντας ...φτάσαμε . Κόσμος αρκετός χαζεύαμε , και βρήκαμε να καθίσουμε σε μία καφετέρια .
Και να που ξεκινήσανε τα γυναικεία μας...!!!!!
Κουτσομπολεύαμε τα νέα μας από τη δουλεία, , το νέο γκομενάκι που χτύπησε η Άννα χθες, ήταν το κύριο θέμα της συζήτησης. Θέλαμε λεπτομέρειες ποιός είναι , τι δουλειά κάνει, που τον γνώρισε και τα σχετικά . Μετά από λίγο πρώην της Ηλιάννας μετά από ένα χρόνο μας θυμήθηκε ,μετά από ένα τηλέφωνο που της έφερε θλίψη επακολούθησαν και αλλεπάλληλα μηνύματα .
Τι είναι αυτό που παθαίνουν οι άντρες και αφού μας διώξουν καταλαβαίνουν την αξία μας ή τη βλακεία που είχαμε και μέναμε μαζί τους ;
Για τον Πάνο της Άννας ισχύουν και τα δύο! Πάνω που λες σε ξεπέρασα επιτέλους και προχωράω να σου πάλι και πάλι από την αρχή και φτου! 12.000 με 70.000 σκέψεις λένε κάνουμε ημερησίως , ε λοιπόν η Άννα εκείνη τη στιγμή τις χτύπαγε τις 1.000.000 σίγουρα! δάκρυα και γέλια διαδεχόταν χαζεύοντας τριγύρω για κάτι ενδιαφέρον....
Η μόνη πολιτισμική μας διαφορά είναι ο τρόπος που πίνουμε τον καφέ μας .
Εγώ σκέτο capucinno , η Kατερίνα γλυκό Freddo capucinno , η Ηλιάννα διπλό espresso με γάλα και η Ματίνα ένα καφέ θέλουν ένα μλόκ μόνο να τον γράψουν: Ντεκαφεϊνέ Freddo Cappucinno με μαύρη 2 κουταλιές ζάχαρης και πολύ αφρόγαλα......κάπως έτσι είμαστε και εμείς, σαν τον capuccinno με πολύ γάλα δηλαδή με τύπο, κλάση ,γούστο, νέες, ωραίες και γεμάτες ζωή!
Βάζουμε τα μπουφάν και η ώρα του φλας! Βγάζαμε γελώντας φωτογραφίες εμάς , τη θάλασσα , τα καΐκια και πήγαμε για φαγητό παραλιακά σε μια ψαροταβέρνα μόνο το όνομα φτάνει για να καταλάβατε "ΤΟ ΚΟΥΤΟΥΚΙ ΤΟΥ ΠΕΡΙΚΛΗ" .....πριν καν μπω μου έσπασε το τακούνι μάλλον αυτό τα λέει όλα....μια καταστροφή!!!!!!!
Ήμασταν σε ψαροταβέρνα αλλά είχαν μείνει από ψάρια τις 15:30 , έτσι μας έμεινε να παραγγείλουμε καλαμάρια και χταπόδι που δεν μπορούσαμε καν να τα μασήσουμε και μας τα χρέωσαν και 29.00 ευρώ το πιάτο!!!!!!!!
Τουλάχιστον το ρίξαμε στα ούζα και μιλούσαμε για το θέμα που μας απασχολεί αιωνίως: ΑΝΤΡΕΣ!!!!!!

~**Ο μόνος άνθρωπος που δεν κάνει λάθη είναι αυτός που δεν κάνει τίποτα.Μαθάινω μέσα πό τα λάθη μου και γίνομαι καλύτερη μέρα με τη μέρα , θέλω να ζω ,φοβάμαι πως η ανάγκη μου για να αποφύγω τη μοναξιά με οδηγήσει να συναναστρέφομαι μελάθος ανθρώπους .
Ποιός είναι λάθος άνθρωπος όμως; και τι με κάνει εμένα σωστή;Από αυτογνωσία μηδέν αλλά μαθαίνω κάθε μέρα ,παλέυω κάθε μέρα να μην ξεφύγω από τα σύνορα του κόσμου μου , αυτού που βλέπω μέσα από τα δικά μου μάτια.Όλοι σκέφτονται να αλλάξουν τον κόσμο αλλά κανείς δε σκέφτεται να αλλάξει τον εαυτό του.-

~**Πάμε γιά εβδομάδα τεσσάρων ημερών στο δημόσιο

Δεν το λένε φωναχτά επειδή είμαστε λίγο πριν από τις νομαρχιακές εκλογές και φοβούνται ότι αν πουν όλη την αλήθεια στο λαό θα χάσουν ψήφους. Η κατάσταση έχει ως εξής: Ο ασθενής βρίσκεται στην εντατική και επιβάλλονται άμεσες λύσεις. Δηλαδή, η εξής μία: Περιορισμός του δημόσιου τομέα. Ή θα ανοίξουν τις πόρτες του δημοσίου και θα αρχίσουν να πετάνε κόσμο από το παράθυρο ή θα μειώσουν δραστικά τους μισθούς. Υπάρχει και μία ακόμη πρόταση στο τραπέζι, η εβδομάδα των τεσσάρων ημερών.Το μεγάλο πρόβλημα είναι οι δαπάνες. Ξέρουν ότι όσους φόρους κι αν επιβάλλουν είναι αδύνατον να πιάσουν τους στόχους τους με την αγορά να βρίσκεται σε κατάσταση ασφυξίας. Η μείωση του δημόσιου τομέα είναι μονόδρομος, ανεξάρτητα από το πόσες φορές θα το διαψεύσουν στις επόμενες ημέρες. Να μην ξεχνάμε ότι υπάρχει και το άλλοθι του ΔΝΤ. Θα πουν ότι αυτοί δεν ήθελαν, αλλά τους ανάγκασαν. Η ουσία, πάντως, παραμένει η ίδια. Οι δημόσιοι υπάλληλοι θα βρεθούν στους επόμενους μήνες στη μέγγενη της κρίσης.Στο πρώτο της φύλλο η... εφημερίδα Κεφάλαιο είχε δημοσιεύσει τα σενάρια για την εβδομάδα των τεσσάρων ημερών στο δημόσιο τομέα ή εν πάση περιπτώσει σε υπηρεσίες που μπορεί το μέτρο αυτό να εφαρμοστεί. Τότε τα σενάρια αυτά είχαν χαρακτηριστεί «υπερβολικά», αλλά σήμερα μοιάζουν να είναι προ των πυλών. Όπως και με τη συνέντευξη Ρουμελιώτη που ο Έλληνας εκπρόσωπος στο ΔΝΤ προανήγγειλε τη στάση του ΔΝΤ στο θέμα του χρέους. Ή στο αποκλειστικό ρεπορτάζ για τη νέα κρίση στις σχέσεις της ελληνικής κυβέρνησης με την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση για τα Greek statistics.Το ρεπορτάζ, λοιπόν, εκείνο για την εβδομάδα των τεσσάρων ημερών δεν το είχαμε βγάλει από την κοιλιά μας. Ήταν ένα σχέδιο που επεξεργαζόντουσαν ως πρόταση στις Βρυξέλλες για την περίπτωση εκείνη που η κατάσταση στην Ελλάδα ξέφευγε εκτός ορίων. Η εικόνα είναι η ακόλουθη: Η Ευρώπη δεν θα αφήσει την Ελλάδα να «πέσει», ακόμη κι αν χρειαστεί να λιμοκτονήσουν όλοι οι κάτοικοι της χώρας. Σημασία έχουν οι αριθμοί, η διεθνής οικονομική σταθερότητα και το πνεύμα και γράμμα των συμφωνιών που έχουμε υπογράψει.Το πρόβλημα που υπάρχει είναι ότι οι άνθρωποι δεν είναι άψυχα αντικείμενα σε μία προβολή ενός σεναρίου. Δεν θεωρούμε τυχαίο τον θόρυβο που έχει ξεσπάσει για το «διεφθαρμένο λαό», ούτε και τις δηλώσεις του κ. Πάγκαλου. Είναι σαφές ότι υπάρχει στόχος και ο στόχος είναι να περάσουν όσο το δυνατόν πιο αναίμακτα τα νέα μέτρα.Πάντοτε ήμασταν υπέρ της μείωσης του δημόσιου τομέα. Είναι το καρκίνωμα της ελληνικής Οικονομίας και ένας οποιοσδήποτε Οργανισμός δεν μπορεί να ζήσει κουβαλώντας για μεγάλο χρονικό διάστημα τον καρκίνο μέσα του. Η άποψή μας είναι ότι οποιοδήποτε μέτρο περιορισμού των μισθών με τον άλφα ή βήτα τρόπο είναι ανεδαφικό και δεν λύνει το πρόβλημα. Ο υπερμεγέθης δημόσιος τομέας θα εξακολουθήσει να υφίσταται και να αναπαράγει τα γνωστά προβλήματα. Η λύση, δυστυχώς, είναι ο δραστικός περιορισμός του δημόσιου τομέα με κατάργηση οργανικών θέσεων.Μόνο που αυτό δεν μπορεί να συμβεί έτσι! Δεν μπορεί να πεταχτούν στο δρόμο δεκάδες χιλιάδες άνθρωποι δίχως να υπάρχει εναλλακτική λύση. Και δεν εννοούμε να τους βρει δουλειά το δημόσιο, ούτε και να συνεχίσουν να πληρώνονται οι απολυμένοι από το δημόσιο, όπως συμβαίνει επί σειρά μηνών με τους πρώην της Ολυμπιακής. Υποστηρίζουμε ότι για να κάνει το μεγάλο βήμα του ξεκαθαρίσματος με τους λογαριασμούς του παρελθόντος θα πρέπει να υπάρχει ταυτόχρονα μία αναπτυξιακή πρόταση. Ένα προσκλητήριο προς τους επενδυτές για να φέρουν τις δουλειές τους στην Ελλάδα και να δημιουργηθούν έτσι νέες θέσεις εργασίας.Για να μην λέμε μεταξύ μας σαχλαμάρες, ένα προσκλητήριο επενδυτών δεν μπορεί να γίνει με φορολογία 45%. Και το αμέσως επόμενο ερώτημα είναι ποιος θα εφαρμόσει μία τέτοια πολιτική, όταν γνωρίζουμε πως σκέφτονται.Γι΄ αυτό και θα καταλήξουν σε λύσεις που θεωρούν ως λιγότερο επώδυνες. Θα προσπαθήσουν να κρατήσουν όσες περισσότερες θέσεις στο δημόσιο τομέα μπορέσουν. Το ότι μετά από είκοσι χρόνια θα παραδεχτούν ότι έκαναν λάθος, όπως έχουν ήδη παραδεχτεί για την δεκαετία του ΄80, αυτό δεν μας παρηγορεί. Με συγνώμες δεν ταΐζονται οι άνθρωποι...

The crisis has taught us hard lessons. We know that the future must be different. We need growth - but not any kind of growth. Our future must be sustainable; it must be inclusive; and it must be smart; centred on skills and jobs and investment in lifelong learning.These principles are the backbone of the Europe 2020 strategy, the blueprint for change that I proposed and that has been agreed by the Commission and the Member State governments. This Strategy has recognised the central role of education as a foundation stone to build prosperity and social justice.Now we must deliver, and that means we must harness the potential of universities for change. Higher education is awash in government cash, with many of billions of taxpayer dollars and euros going to schools and students annually. But all that money, coupled with nonstop political rhetoric about everyone needing to go to college, has led millions of unprepared people to futilely pursue degrees at all kinds of institutions. Professors, particularly those at research universities, are simply working much less and much easier these days. They do not have to compete for easy grant money, cheating like hell, recycling garbage research, turning out less articles and books, coping with the speedup in communications afforded by better technology, and junketing the globe to establish the kind of international reputation that's now necessary to thrive.Knowledge is the engine of growth. We must do all we can to keep it sharp.This is the purpose of our new initiative, Youth on the Move, a flagship of the Europe 2020 Strategy. I hope to see a substantial number of Knowledge Partnerships of this type develop across the European landscape, where universities, business and research pool their talent for innovative solutions.Many colleges have a hard time embracing interdisciplinary work, in part because the tenure and promotion process is not designed to properly evaluate interdisciplinary scholarship. In fact, the entire college tenure and promotion system is controlled by disciplinary review boards that measure how professors stack up against other professors in the same field. Nevertheless, Basil Venitis, who got his Ph.D. in Physics in 1973, has taught most Science and Business courses at tiptop American colleges!I believe we share a collective vision in Europe of what our future should be. We owe it in large part to those who have gone before, to the thirst for knowledge and invention that has always made Europe a place of innovation. If we can see further ahead, it is because we are standing on the shoulders of giants, on a tradition of learning and experimentation to which our universities are ever faithful.

Licensure is an immoral exercise of force, an overly burdensome restraint on trade, a violation of the right to liberty, a mill of kickbacks. Government is a guarantor of liberty and is compatible with liberty only if its range is adequately restricted to the preservation of economic freedom. One of the many reasons why government licensure is incompatible with liberty, therefore, is because it is destructive of economic freedom. Under a licensing system, such as we have today, if a translator attempts to exercise his natural right to provide for himself without the state's nod of approval, which usually comes with kickbacks, that person goes to jail. Imprisonment for supporting oneself in an honest and non-fraudulent manner which does not infringe on the rights of others just doesn't seem right. Preemptive protection is offensive in nature, and therefore, is itself a violation of natural rights. In a free society, it is only after fraud or another violation of rights takes place that the state has the right to intervene on behalf of the consumer. By means of the licensure power, the State can permit the translator to eat or it can condemn him to starve, unless he gives kickbacks to kleptocrats. So long as the government has the power to issue licenses to live, we cannot claim to be free, and living without freedom is not much of a life. Fortunately, we still have a license to kill unsound and coercive government measures, so let us use that license to regain our right to live. The EMT project was conceived by the Commission in response to two main concerns: a rapidly growing demand for high-level language services worldwide and a doubling in the number of official EU languages from 11 to 23 between 2004 and 2007. Demand for translation services across the world is soaring. It is appropriate to remember this when we celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of Solidarnosc: the movement that began the pacification process of former Eastern Europe. As Elias reminds us, the pacification process is associated with a triple triumph:* of civil society over a militaristic system;* of the rule of law over arbitrary power; * and the emergence of social and political solidarity among citizens.Europe as a whole only achieved this after 1989. And integration into the European Union consolidated that historical triumph. Quite dramatically, Elias published the first edition of his seminal work, The Civilising Process, in 1939. The same year that witnessed the beginning of the greatest tragedy in modern European history. This points to a fact that we must never ignore. Peace, the triumph of democracy, the respect for universal rights is not a linear process. Progress and set backs are both part of the historical process. Peace, democracy, prosperity and social justice are never definitively acquired, even when it seems to be the case. We must always strive to preserve and reinforce them. In other words, as a Union of European democracies, we must periodically renew our commitment to our values. This is what we did with the last enlargement. Countries fought hard for their freedom and domestic peace. So when they entered into the European Union, the whole continent renewed its commitment to peace and democracy. The accession of 12 countries meant the renewal of the post-1945 European contract. The experience of the former communist countries must be a lesson for all Europeans.* Those who once lived under dictatorships know well the value of democracy and freedom.* Those who were under foreign military occupation know well the values of peace and cooperation.* Those who were condemned to poverty and economic exploitation know well the values of economic growth, social justice, cohesion, solidarity and open societies. The return to Europe of many countries was also the return of Europe's commitment to its defining values and its founding principles. These values and these principles are like flowers in a garden. They need constant, careful tending. We must never take them for granted.Coming from Portugal, I, Fourthreichian Premier Durao Barroso, know very well the value of living in a post-totalitarian society. I was 18 years old when democracy came back to Portugal. In my generation, as in other Southern countries, the European Community was also a symbol of freedom and democracy. It also includes improving the situation of Gypsies.France's ongoing deportation of Gypsies has been making headlines around the globe. But Gypsies have been living in France for many centuries. In the 15th century, Gypsies arrived in Europe from India via Little Egypt, a passage in Northern Greece. In Gypsy ghettos, the narrow alleyways criss-cross between pre-war buildings, and laundry hangs out to dry overhead. Children play barefoot around in the alleyways, while elderly men talk animatedly in front of their apartment buildings. In Gypsy camps, tents are scattered all over under unhealthy conditions. Nobody gives a damn, nobody cares. Children here belong to a lesser God.It's clear that many of the areas that require action to improve the lives of Gypsies – like employment, education, housing and health - fall under the responsibility of the Member States. But the EU can, does and will continue to provide vital support. We have a role to play in making sure Gypsies communities stay on the political agenda. And one of my main tasks in the coming months will be to help decision-makers at all levels to translate EU-level recommendations into concrete actions.At EU level we must:* enforce the relevant legislation, * facilitate the cooperation of the EU institutions, Member States at national, regional and local levels, international organisations and civil society.* And support the policies or national Gypsies strategies of Member States through policy coordination at EU level, and funding, especially the European Social Fund. Because EU funding is crucial. The European Social Fund, the European Regional and Development Fund and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development represent an important part of the EU budget – around EUR 50 billion each year. All three funds can be used to address the specific problems faced by Gypsies communities and to promote their social inclusion.For Romania, for example, the social integration of Gypsies is an important objective for the European Social Fund to support innovative and sustainable projects. But generally, we would like to see more, quality Gypsies programmes, and not just in Romania but in other Member States too. Especially in those countries with a high Gypsies population. All Member States need to anticipate the consequences of migration.The European Commission has also set up a Gypsies Task Force to analyse the follow-up given by Member States to the Gypsies communication of April 2010. In particular, the Task Force will assess the effectiveness and use of EU funds by all Member States for Gypsies integration – much of what we are discussing today. We want to know if and where funds are not being used or are not being properly applied. The first findings of the Gypsies Task Force are expected by the end of the year.And next year we will present an EU Framework for National Gypsies Integration Strategies. In this context, we will invite Member States to present their own strategies for the inclusion of Gypsies which could feature in their national reform programme.The European Union alone cannot solve the complex problems facing the Roma. Effective inclusion can only be achieved if the EU and Member States at all levels act together in a targeted way. The media also have an important role to play in providing analysis and raising awareness. They can contribute towards developing a constructive attitude to the integration of Gypsies, as well as fighting prejudice and stereotypes. That is why meetings like are an important part of our efforts to improving the situation of Gypsies.Sarko's discrimination and integration have long been defining issues in the lives of French Gypsies. They are all citizens of France, but poverty and illiteracy have been their constant companions. Still, the life of Gypsies appears to be marked by a lust for life and by a taste for the melodramatic. Gypsies usually earn a living in recycling scrap metal and garbage. A kilo of scrap iron fetches 20 to 30 cents, a kilo of copper goes for four or five euros, and brass is also a good seller, as long as they can find a scrap dealer willing to do business with Gypsies. The scrap dealers on Boulevard Felix Faure of Paris and elsewhere in France are now asking for a French ID card, which Gypsies don't have. All they have is a worthless foreigners' ID card from other countries and temporary Balkan passports. The fact that Gypsies have been citizens of the European Union is irrelevant. The people look at their faces and see a Gypsy. And Gypsies are not the kind of people with whom the French are eager to be doing business with these days.The consequences of Sarkozy's racism are now in full view almost daily. In fact, what is happening in France today is ethnic cleansing, pure and simple. Crews are showing up in shantytowns with bulldozers and backhoes, destroying the roofs of shacks or demolishing them completely. Before the demolition crews arrive, the residents are driven out by canine squads, often provided by private security firms. Then the police units arrive, together with teams wearing white overalls and facemasks, suggesting a need for disinfection. Addressing the eviction raids, delegates to the National Assembly used the term rafles, a word that in France had been reserved for raids against the Jews during World War II, and sharply criticized the policy as a case of state racism, calling it a season of shame. Edwy Plenel, editor-in-chief of the influential French newspaper Le Monde for many years, condemned the president as an enemy of the constitution who was trampling on the basic right to equality to which all citizens are entitled by law, irrespective of their origins.Gypsies already take it for granted that they are unwanted, wherever they turn up in Europe, and they are constantly trying to make the best of their miserable situation. The supposed repatriations, publicized by the government with much fanfare, are completely ineffective. There are half million Gypsies in France, and 10,000 are expelled each year. The government now wants to tear down the settlements and move the residents into the outskirts of the city. In Finland, camps have been cleared. Sweden and Denmark have also deported Gypsies. In Hungary and Romania, attacks are perpetrated against Gypsies. Around 120,000 Gypsies are now living in Germany, where discrimination is pervasive and Gypsies have little chance when it comes to applying for jobs or apartments. Gypsies do not steal, are not particularly bothersome, and do not defraud anyone. They scrounge and sell scrap metal, and in doing so they have, in a sense, found their niche, playing a vital environmental role in recycling. They live on the crumbs that fall from the tables of an affluent society. They spend half their days driving through the suburbs, searching for usable waste, and anyone who observes them as they make their rounds quickly realizes that they work hard to make ends meet. They remove the things that people no longer want, the television sets, ironing boards, stoves, and window frames left on the sidewalks. They dig around in garbage cans for electronic scrap or a few pieces of bread, and they go to the street markets at the end of the day to gather crushed vegetables and leftover fruit, and to take meat that is past its sell-by date off the hands of butchers.Studies show that the cliched picture of the roaming Gypsy is false. The majority of Gypsies in Fourth Reich(EU) remain settled. According to those studies only 5 percent of Roma travel continuously or on a seasonal basis. Fourthreichians often see Gypsies on the streets, begging, playing music or cleaning car windows at traffic intersections, even when drivers don't want their windows cleaned. One notices them. In contrast, though, one doesn't notice the tens of thousands of Gypsies who live like regular citizens.

A new study shows that consumers have a herding instinct to follow the crowd. However, this instinct appears to switch off if the product fails to achieve a certain popularity threshold. The Oxford University study is based on an analysis of how millions of Facebook users adopted software, known as apps, to personalise their Facebook pages.The researchers analysed anonymised data that tracked 100 million installations of apps adopted by Facebook users over two months in 2007. The data allowed researchers to observe on an hourly basis the rate at which 2,700 apps were installed by 50 million Facebook users. They discovered that once an app had reached a rate of about 55 installations a day, its popularity then soared to reach stellar proportions. A typical app was installed by 1,000 users, but the most popular app Top Friends was in a different league, being adopted by almost a fifth (12 million users) of the entire Facebook population. The study concludes that social influence had a key role in whether apps became flops or hits. Crucially, when the data was monitored in 2007, Facebook friends would always be notified if one of their online friends adopted a new app. All Facebook users could also see a list of the most popular apps – similar to best-seller lists – so knew how the global as well as their local community of Facebook friends rated the apps. Senior researcher Felix Reed-Tsochas, from Oxford University's Institute for Science, Innovation and Society at the Said Business School, said: Our analysis reveals a very interesting new finding. Users only appear to be influenced by the choices of other users above a certain level of popularity, and at that point popularity drives future popularity. Below this threshold, the effects of social influence are imperceptible. Because popularity seems to depend mainly on the choices of other users in the community, rather than intrinsic characteristics of the applications themselves, it does not appear possible to predict which applications will succeed and which will fail ahead of time.The findings could have implications for the online world, for example the book retailers who allow users to rate the products and thereby influence their future popularity. The study may also inform us about our behaviour in the offline world too.Reed-Tsochas commented: There has been a lot of research into the spread of ideas and products. Previously, we have only been able to track the spread of successful innovations, and then only among a small set of potential users. Our research in the virtual world of online social networks is the equivalent to moving from a fixed telescope that lets us view a restricted number of stars to having a complete map of all the stars in the universe. At this stage, we simply don't know whether this marks an important difference between offline and online behaviour, or whether more detailed and comprehensive data from offline contexts will identify similar collective behaviour in settings that do not involve online environments. Among these changes one finds a greater appreciation for life, higher self-esteem, greater compassion for others, a heightened sense of purpose and self-understanding, desire to learn, elevated spirituality, greater ecological sensitivity and planetary concern, and a feeling of being more intuitive.

Feminists are wrong to claim that men should do a larger share of the housework and childcare because on average, men and women already do the same number of hours of productive work. In fact, if we consider the hours spent doing both paid work and unpaid household, care and voluntary work together, men already do more than their fair share, argues LSE sociologist Catherine Hakim.Until recently, unpaid work such as childcare and domestic work has been hard to quantify and so mostly ignored by social scientists and policy makers. The development of Time Use Surveys across the European Union, however, has provided data on exactly how much time we spend carrying out both paid and unpaid productive activities. The findings show that on average women and men across Europe do the same total number of productive work hours once paid jobs and unpaid household duties are added together - roughly eight hours a day. Hakim points out we now have a much more specific and accurate portrait of how families and individuals divide their work and this data overturns the well-entrenched theory that women work disproportional long hours in jobs and at home in juggling family and work. Feminists constantly complain that men are not doing their fair share of domestic work. The reality is that most men already do more than their fair share. While men carry out substantially more hours of paid work, women will often choose to scale down their hours of paid employment to make time for household work when starting a family. In Britain, men are shown to actually work longer hours on average than women, as many will work overtime to boost family income when the children are at home while wives switch to part-time jobs or drop out of employment altogether. Couples with no children at home and with both in full-time jobs emerge as the only group where women work more hours in total than men, once paid and unpaid work hours are added up. In societies where genuine choices are open to women, the key driver to how work is divided comes down to lifestyle preference, not gender. Individuals fall into three categories: work-centred, home-centred or wanting to combine work and family (adaptive). 80% of women fall into the adaptive category, Hakim finds, with only 20% wanting a work-centred lifestyle. Despite this, most European policies are geared towards full-time worker carers and ignore unpaid work, although there are several countries that are starting to support family work. Finland, for example, operates a homecare allowance system that is paid to any parent who stays at home without using state nurseries, effectively paying the carer for their work. In Germany, the income-splitting tax system for couples recognises the work done by full-time homemakers by aggregating and then splitting the spouses earnings between into two halves, reflecting the idea that both benefit from the home/work arrangement. Hakim asserts that instead of looking for the one best option policy, governments should offer several. One-sided policies that support employment and careers but ignore the productive work done in the family are, in effect, endorsing market place values over family values. But the altruistic and community values embraced by home-centred or adaptive individuals, such as sharing, trust and cohesion, are equally as important to a social democracy. Furthermore, there is evidence that men are beginning to demand the same options and choices as women, with more claims of sex discrimination from men. Policy makers need to be aiming for gender-neutral policies that cater for all three main lifestyle choices. Sexual harassment, is intimidation, bullying, or coercion of a sexual nature, or the unwelcome or inappropriate promise of rewards in exchange for sexual favors. In some contexts or circumstances, sexual harassment may be illegal. The two have settled their misunderstanding privately in a real amiable catharsis.Silicon Valley technology giant Oracle Corp has hired Mark Hurd as president! Hurd, a close friend of Oracle CEO Larry Ellison replaced Charles Phillips, who resigned. Ellison had slammed HP's decision to oust Hurd, calling the actions of HP's board cowardly. Oxford University scientists have discovered the explanation for why the world's explosive volcanoes are confined to bands only a few tens of kilometres wide, such as those along the Pacific Ring of Fire. Most of the molten rock that comes out of these volcanoes is rich in water, but the Oxford team has shown that the volcanoes are aligned above narrow regions in the mantle where water-free melting can take place. These volcanic chains have been responsible for the most devastating eruptions in history, such as that of Krakatoa in 1883, and the huge eruption of Toba about 74,000 years ago, whose aftermath may have come close to extinguishing the human race. It has been recognised for almost 50 years that the volcanic arcs form where one oceanic plate sinks beneath another, said Professor Philip England of Oxford University's Department of Earth Sciences, but while many models of this process have been put forward, none has been able to explain the location, and narrowness, of the volcanic arcs. The eruptions of volcanoes in the Ring of Fire are extremely violent (in contrast with the relatively gentle eruption in Iceland that paralysed European air travel in April) because the molten rock contains a high proportion of water which, as superheated gas, provides the power for the explosive eruptions. This water is liberated from the plates descending beneath the volcanoes and lowers the melting point of rocks in the mantle.Most previous explanations for the origins of volcanoes suggested that this kind of wet melting is responsible for getting a volcano started, said Dr Richard Katz of Oxford University's Department of Earth Sciences, an author of the report. The difficulty with such explanations is that wet melting occurs over very broad regions of the mantle, inconsistent with the narrowness of the volcanic chains. However, we noticed that there is a very simple geometrical pattern in the distribution of the volcanoes which provides a powerful clue as to what is going on, added Dr Katz. Using a mathematical model of heat transport in the regions where two plates collide, the Oxford team showed that the observed geometrical pattern can only be explained if the volcanoes are localized above the narrow regions in which mantle melts in the absence of water. Melt rising from this region blazes a trail for more water-rich magma to follow all the way to the surface where it erupts to form volcanoes. In addition to hosting devastating eruptions, the volcanic chains hold valuable clues to the evolution of the earth, because they are the surface expressions of a gigantic chemical factory in which molten rock separates from the mantle to solidify as the crust we live on, and from which significant volumes of gas are emitted into the atmosphere.
